Walmart, the global leader in the retail market, places a central focus on managing its relationships with suppliers. The company is constantly innovating to optimize the various processes associated with supplier management. Walmart Mexico and Central America have chosen to implement Salesforce Service Cloud to standardize and streamline these processes, selecting Freeway Mexico as their implementation partner.

Sam Walton opened the first Walmart store in Rogers, Arkansas in 1962, introducing a successful retail formula that would impact the lives of millions worldwide. Walmart is a multinational retail corporation operating chains of discount department stores and warehouse clubs. It is the largest private employer in the world, with over two million employees, and the largest retailer globally.
Walmart has nearly 11,000 stores under 65 brands in 28 countries, with e-commerce websites in 11 countries. Grupo Walmart’s operations in Mexico include retail establishments like Superama, Sam’s Club, and Bodega Aurrera.Additionally, they operate in Central America under brands like Walmart, Supermercado Paiz, La Despensa de Don Juan, Despensa Familiar, Palí, La Unión, Más x Menos, and Maxi Pali.
Service Cloud: Streamlining Supplier Onboarding and Management
With the implementation of Salesforce Service Cloud, Walmart will standardize its supplier onboarding processes across all categories (e-commerce, internal, merchandise, etc.). This will provide a new level of digital internal control and visibility.
The project encompasses all of Walmart’s operations in Mexico and Central America and will significantly optimize the timeframes of current processes. This will translate into improved supplier relationships and increased productivity.
